US Masters Swim Calendar

I am still alive. I plan to wrap up the Tuolumne County Masters Aquatics 2010 calendar today, and I will have a life again. Here is a sneak peek of what I've been up to...

Any other USMS teams out there need a calendar?

7 swims 4 lifetime bests 1 World Record* 1 Pacific Masters record 5 First places 2 Second places (I’m pretty sure the woman who beat her in at least one of these races was much, much younger) Her new team, Marin Pirates Masters, with only 3 swimmers -  placed 18th out of 43 teams

How does Cokie feel about all of this? To quote her Facebook status, “OMG ...

A club mini-meet is simply a swim meet held at our pool for our swimmers only. It’s a great lead-in to a sanctioned swim meet. It’s also a great way to gauge your improvement, and it generates fun competition and camaraderie among teammates. There is tremendous support and enthusiasm at these things. If you’ve never competed in a swim meet before, this is the place to start. There’s truly no pressure, unless, of course, it’s self-imposed. It’s also a great place ...
