Pacific Masters Long Course Championships
The 2009 Pacific Masters Long Course Championships are going going to be held July 10, 11, 12, in the San Francsico Bay Area. The Chabot College Swim Complex in Hayward (East Bay) is hosting the meet. Any Masters Swimmers interested in competing in this swim meet may now register here
I “competed” (I use that term loosely) at the Pacific Masters Long Course Championships two years ago in Santa Cruz. It was my first swim meet… ever. Yeah, I was supremely nervous, but the event was at a beautiful outdoor pool, and it wasn’t as if there were hundreds of people in the stands watching – as I had imagined. Folks are very encouraging, whether it’s teammates or folks with whom you are competing. At the end of the day you will no doubt leave with new friendships, a little more respect from your coach, and most likely a few ribbons to use as visual aids in your bragging rights.

Thanks so much for your encouragement. I’m trying to get this off the ground while working full-time, and I appreciate your patience as it takes shape. I’m just an average “age grouper” triathlete who loves to swim. I love what Masters Swimming creates… healthy lifestyle, camaraderie, a bit of competition… Please let me know if you would like to see anything in particular here.
