Sometimes daily deadlines and a horrible internet connection prevent me from having fun here on the blog. And by horrible internet connection, I mean this company. For those of you fortunate enough to live in an urban area where you have access to DSL and all sorts of high-speed and UNLIMITED internet – I so completely and entirely envy you! My two options here in the hinterlands are dial-up (stop snickering) and satellite. In case you didn’t know, satellite internet providers limit your daily access. Once you’ve reached their "Fair Access Policy" quota – that’s it, you’re kicked off for at least 24 hours. And, to add insult to injury, you must phone tech support (located in India of course) and ask them nicely to turn the power back on.
Sorry, I digressed…
I spent last Saturday morning at the local pool taking pictures of USMS swimmers competing in a Halloween / pumpkin swim meet. It also happened to be the coaches birthday, so there was quite a feast afterward. The Tuolumne County Aquatics Masters (TCAM) sure know how to have fun! By the way, it was a normal ‘mini meet’ for TCAM swimmers only. There’s no pressure and it’s a great way to guage your fitness. It wasn’t until the final relay that pumpkins dove in. Here are just a handful of images from that day. If you are so inclined, you could swing by my photo site and check out more. However, with an internet connection with speeds only slightly faster than dial-up, I haven’t been able to upload the entire collection yet.
