Injuries and a heavy workload prevented me from competing in triathlons this past season. (Remember, I came to U.S. Masters swimming to feel more confident in the swim portion of triathlons.) This change of plans had me hanging out at the pool more than normal which allowed me to get to know some fun, interesting folks (is it me, or are swimmers a tad less competitive than triathletes?). They've inspired me to compete in a few swim meets - assuming my numerous injuries heal.
