Whack Job No More

Between a massive project with an impending deadline and an extremely sore shoulder, I’ve been to the pool to swim exactly once in 10 days. (Not to mention the neglect I’ve shown my blog!) That I even considered attending a workout is due in large part to a wonderful chiropractor in Sausalito, California – Dr. Lance Lesneski.

Lance utilizes the Koren Specific Technique (KST) as well as more traditional chiropractic methods. I had never heard of KST before, and I honestly didn’t care what he did as long as he helped me gain use of my left arm/side/shoulder again.

A KST chiropractor treats misalignments of the body’s hard or soft tissues effecting mind/body health using an ArthroStim™ adjusting instrument. The ArthroStim tool produces 12-14 smaller rapid-fire pulses that are distributed each second vs. one forceful WHACK. No heavy crunching, no forcing bones into place.  :^)

This StarTrek-like tool produces precise movements, which stimulate ’neural receptors’. These receptors, in turn, produce nerve impulses, which relay crucial information to the brain. Once the brain evaluates the changes prompted by the adjustment, it issues self-correcting commands to the muscular system, and other systems, to bring about healing changes.

Indeed… there’s vast improvement from a week and a half ago when I originally injured myself. I wish his office wasn’t a 2½-hour drive because I would no doubt visit him more often, as well as on a proactive basis.

(Please note, I am in no way being financially compensated for this review of Dr. Lance Lesneski or the ArthroStim. A healing body is compensation enough, don’t you agree?)
